Job Summary

The Director of the South Central Regional Sales office will be responsible for all of the success of the South Central Regional, and will manage sales and operations of both the direct and indirect sales channels. This role will lead the sales teams in creating new business and sales opportunities and managing existing relationships and accounts. This person in this role will strive to lead the growth and overall performance of the region, aligning with the Company’s goals, targets, and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading a successful sales team, possess a strong business acumen, and will have a proven record of success in corporate sales, inside sales, or outside sales in the B2B arena in trailer manufacturing, trailer/truck parts and service, or commercial vehicle/truck bodies. This position may serve as backup to the Sr. Director of the region as needed.

Essential Functions

Sales – New & Existing Accounts (Direct/Indirect)

  • Manage the regional sales team, provide the overall direction and support to develop new business and sales opportunities, and build upon existing relationships to achieve company and regional goals
  • Manage and support the regional indirect channel partners
  • Travel to attend trade shows, industry and customer events, pilots/inspections, and plant tours
  • Maintain awareness of current industry news and trends, market, and competitor activity
  • Promote new initiatives that will expand the company’s overall product lines and service offerings

Management

  • Manage and develop the regional team, including goal setting, performance reviews, individual/team meetings, and identifying skills gaps for the purpose of employee development

Sales Process & Support

  • Communicate with customers regularly to align on needs and expectations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver an unparalleled product

Essential Functions (Continued)

  • Facilitate and monitor the entire sales process from order to payment receipt through internal channels

Operations

  • Monitor and oversee the regional performance including, but not limited to Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including PO approval
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 12 years of sales experience including, but not limited to, corporate sales, inside sales, outside sales
  • Strong communicator with the ability to analyze and present important sales data/information to the Executive Team
  • Proven record of success in managing a high-volume and high-dollar book of business
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a successful sales team
  • Strong proficiency with software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, CRM
