Pay Range: $27.74 - $31.92 per hour

Job Summary

Hyundai Translead's Human Resources Associate is responsible for providing assistance with Human Resources related functions such as payroll, benefits administration, employee data and record management, and new hire onboarding and orientation, and act as a resource to company employees as needed. This position works cross-functionally with other departments across the organization to ensure smooth and efficient business processes and functions.

Essential Functions

Payroll

  • Assist with payroll by collecting, calculating, and entering data into company's payroll system.
  • Research payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries.Process manual checks and payroll adjustments as needed.Perform routine audits of payroll, benefits, and employee records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process employee events such as salary changes.
  • Assist with administering W-2 forms annually.
  • Assist with administering Foreign Tax forms annually.
  • Maintain Paid Time Off balances and audit for accuracy.
  • Assist with administration of employee leave programs.

Benefits

  • Assist with employee benefit administration such as enrollment of new hires, billing inquiries, and employee status changes in benefits portals (eligibility changes, department changes, address changes, etc. for 401K, medical, dental, vision, etc.).
  • Assist with administering 1095 forms annually.
  • Assist with administering leaves of absence.
  • Assist with benefit plan administration, renewal, and open enrollment.

Essential Functions (Continued)

Employee Data and Record Management

  • Actively manage and maintain company HRIS and employee personnel records.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping for compliance purposes.
  • Maintain and process confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy Human Resources records.

Onboarding and New Hire Orientation

  • Assist with communicating with new hires and ensuring completion of onboarding paperwork upon hire.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and partner with company's inside legal team for a thorough introduction to the company.

Other

  • Assist employees with general inquiries regarding company policies/procedures and general Human Resources information and escalate as needed.
  • Generate standard Human Resources reports and workforce information.
  • Assist with Human Resources initiatives and communication as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience supporting the administrative functions of a Human Resources department.
  • Previous experience using HRIS for timekeeping and payroll.
  • General understanding of Human Resources policies and relevant regulations.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable employment laws (federal, state and local).Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to write concisely, persuasively, and to clearly summarize information.
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use discretionary practices.
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Extremely detail oriented.

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • SuccessFactors experience preferred.
