Pay Range: $115,200 - $138,200 annually

Job Summary
The Lead Trade Compliance Partner is a planning-oriented, strategic role responsible for designing, reviewing, and governing global trade compliance frameworks across the enterprise. This position emphasizes upfront planning, process re-design, requirement definition, and risk anticipation, ensuring trade compliance activities are scalable, well-governed, and aligned with business strategy.
The role partners closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, and external advisors to translate regulatory and business requirements into clear operating models, standardized processes, and execution roadmaps.
Essential Functions
- Review and re-design trade compliance processes to improve clarity, efficiency, and risk control
- Define standard roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across plants, procurement, logistics, and service providers
- Establish and maintain core SOPs, control points, and documentation standards
- Lead trade compliance planning activities, including annual and multi-year roadmaps aligned with sourcing strategy and business growth
- Translate regulatory and policy changes into clear compliance strategies and prioritized execution plans
- Assess business impact and risk exposure related to regulatory, sourcing, or geopolitical changes
- Lead requirement-gathering with internal stakeholders to define data, system, reporting, and audit needs
- Act as the link between regulatory requirements and operational execution to ensure alignment before implementation
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for trade compliance programs
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring process readiness and documentation integrity
- Develop guidelines and frameworks to enable effective execution of trade compliance requirements
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities based on audits, risk trends, and business changes

Essential Functions (Continued)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in planning, process design, governance, or regulatory-driven roles within supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or logistics environments
- Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements, design end-to-end processes, and build execution frameworks across cross-functional teams
Preferred Education and Experience Requirements
- Trade compliance or Customs-related experience
- Exposure to global trade regulations (e.g., USMCA, AD/CVD, Section 232/301)
- Experience supporting audits, compliance programs, or regulatory change initiatives
