This position will be for our new manufacturing facility in Joliet and will initially be employed by Hyundai Translead's corporate office but will be remote from the State of Illinois to support the launch of the Company’s new manufacturing facility before transitioning to full time, onsite once the facility is operational. 

 

Pay Range: $85,170 - $102,170 annually

Job Summary

The Sr. Talent Development Partner is responsible for the management of the Training and Development Area for the organization. This includes identifying and developing training-related business initiatives, working closely with key stakeholders in the business and subject matter experts in managing, analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the training curricula, and Improving company productivity based on training needs by analyzing and developing creatively effective programs and methods to enhance performance, skills and knowledge, and employee engagement.

Essential Functions

  • Manage, develop, organize, lead, and execute all training-related initiatives and programs for all levels in the organization
  • Maintain and ensure consistency in the planning and delivery of training standards across the organization
  • Manage, develop, and oversee the developing and implementation of new and current training programs, ensuring these programs are consistent with company goals, objectives, and needs
  • Monitor and ensure the correct allocation and usage of training and development annual budget
  • Follow up with leadership and management for all departments in order to ensure that the parties involved in each training program / path complete their training
  • Manage and participate in the development, implementation, and effectiveness of each training path for key positions within the organization, and maintain an effective channel of communication to ensure correct implementation of these programs
  • Responsible for conducting research, developing, and suggesting recommendations for appropriate learning management initiatives to support training content delivery online, in-person, in-house, virtually, etc.
  • Supervise the identification, development, and implementation of training needs assessment and conduct analyses in order to identify and define present and future training needs across the organization
  • Ensure all training and event records are kept in an organized and clear manner to ensure reachable access when needed

Essential Functions (Continued)

  • Stay up to date with the latest instructional technologies, strategies, and programs to introduce the latest and most applicable trends in training and development for the organization, and maintain and update training programs
  • Conduct research and make recommendations for appropriate learning management systems and databases for the company
  • Collaborate with HR and any other departments in defining strategies and ensuring their alignment regarding training needs specific to related areas of specialty and ensuring proper execution of ongoing departmental training programs in order to achieve desired results and improve overall performance
  • Manage and develop training metrics to ensure training programs effectiveness and reporting methods to present to upper management
  • Conducting follow-up studies on all delivered training programs in order to evaluate and measure results and draw reports for upper management
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the proper execution of duties regarding the HR Department or organization

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or other related area
  • 5 years of work experience in training and development
  • Experience in content creation, maintenance of training processes, and development of training and development programs
  • Experience in designing training materials
  • Ability to foster mentoring relationships and drive continuous results of lower department managerial personnel
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Experience enabling efficient and effective cross-functional/collaborative communications
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for the creation of visually and verbally engaging training materials and reports
  • Strong analytical skills as well as a demonstrated desire for research, data analysis, and the insights that are derived from it
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently 
  • Prompt decision-making skills, strategic and creative thinking, and problem-solving ability
